Plans to let Royal Mail put up the price of a First Class stamp by a record 3p have been slammed by business leaders and consumers.

The Daily Mail revealed today how the industry regulator is planning to allow the Royal Mail to impose a series of inflation-busting increases. First class post would go up 3p to 42p while second class would rise by 2p to 32p
