They say nothing lasts forever but "Forever" stamps are all the rage at local post offices.

With the price of a first-class stamp set to rise on May 12, customers are opting for books of Forever stamps, which can be used on a one-ounce first-class letter regardless of how much first-class stamps increase in cost.

A book of 20 Forever stamps now costs $8.20. The Forever stamp has been a hit since it debuted in April 2007.
